First clue tomorrow - Indiana - 6pm EST poll closing

I think seeing whether Donnelly holds or loses his seat in either a squeaker or a blowout will tell us a lot about what might happen the rest of the night pretty early. Don't know how fast Indiana tallies its vote, but it should be the first to report a result I would think.

Next up at 7 pm EST is Georgia, Florida and Virginia, all big for us.

The list, by time: https://www.thegreenpapers.com/G18/closing.phtml?format=gc

I am very familiar with NJ and will spot big upsets right away. Same with VA. Moved to NC a few years ago and our state is so gerrymandered that if Dems take even a seat or two in NC it should be a blowout for Dems.

The biggest would be if the southern counties, Ocean especially go Dem.

A Menendez loss would be an upset. Why didn't the N.J. Dem leaders work to get him out?

tend to come in last.

If however Donnelly is holding his own elsewhere in the state, it will tell us something.

Donnelly needs to be doing around 60%+ in Marion and lake counties to even stand a chance. St Joseph county is a big bellwether in Indiana, went 47/47 in 2016.....

Things to be looking for in exit polls, party id in 2016 was 30% Dem, 42% GOP, 28% Ind.....if that split varies a lot.....

The rest of the state closes an hour later. I can't imagine news networks will start reporting their results at 6 PM, although internet sources might.

the western part of the state closes at 7. Part of Indiana is on standard time, the rest on day light savings or something like that.
