There are still a couple of Repubs that will vote with us if try something outrageous.

I am a bit more concerned about what the Idiot might do. He simply doesnt care what is ethical or whether its goes against tradition or even if its legal. He thinks he can get away with most anything. He will be like a cornered rabid animal.

I have little doubt that they would somehow attempt to take advantage of their lame-duck status and Dem. euphoria to slide some bad stuff through, maybe even another attempt to repeal ACA. And there's no telling what evil that basturd in the White House might attempt regarding Sessions/Rosenstein/Mueller. I'm a little scared of the immediate aftermath of this election, but hopeful that for the longer term, it's a first step in a return to sanity for our country.

8. Republican moderates that just survive defeat and even some conservatives that had a close call.

Will be shitting their shorts, thinking about what could happen to them in 2020. My guess is that if pre-election Dem representatives stand firm, nothing happens. There is actually more danger if republicans get routed, there would be little incentive for those that are ousted to think of the American people.

where I am GLAD that there are three major holidays during which these lazy bastards won't be at work, between now and the swearing in of the next Congress! There's a holiday recess, have to check on how long that actually is, it's usually at least two weeks.

12. Oh, I fully expect Rs to follow the "McConnell Rule" during the lame duck.

You know, the rule McConnell made up to justify denying Obama his SCOTUS pick: no action before an election, allow the people to have their say in the election, then follow their mandate.

Why wouldn’t McConnell follow his own rule?
