Ballot Proposals, what ones are in your states?

In Michigan, we have 3 ballot proposals that should each boost Democratic turnout.

1. Legalize recreational weed
2. End Jerrymandering by creating a non partisan panel to redraw district lines.
3. Automatic voter registration and several provisions to make voting easier

Things look great for all 3 of these to pass, and the big races are solidly Dem already. Dem governor and Dem Senator. But I think these proposals will give Dems a 2-4 point boost tomorrow. We could see a more sweeping victory tomorrow in MI because of these ballot proposals. I think it could be big enough that a few big surprises might happen in House votes too.

What proposals does your state have?

Most are silly but #4 restores voting rights to those who have served their debt to society.

This is sorely needed nationwide. The racists have used the Criminal Justice system to disenfranchise millions of minority voters.

6. FL has a ton of amendments, one of which is critically important.

FL is 1 of only 2 states that disenfranchises all felons, regardless of if it's from driving, parole violation for not having sufficient funds to pay massive fees, or rape. Amendment 4 would end this for anyone other than someone convicted of murder or felony sexual assault once the person had done their time. I am hoping this and Gillum will bring out the voters in sufficient numbers to drag Nelson over the line and add some blue to the FL Congress. I am hearing a ton of enthusiasm about Gillum when I'm phone banking, so I'm somewhat optimistic.

And to me the most important thing on the ballot isn’t governor or senator or rep... it is proposal two. Gerrymandering is an integral part of the GOP machine to rule from the minority and we need prop two to pass to ensure a House that actually reflects the will of the voters. Go prop two!!!

8. Maine - Universal In Home Care - 1st state to maybe do - Also 1st Rank Choice Fed Elections in Maine

"This initiative establishes universal access to homecare for more than 10,000 seniors and Mainers
with disabilities. All Maine seniors (65 and older) and Mainers with a disability who need
assistance with one or more activity of daily living are eligible for care."

https://www.mainepeoplesalliance.org/sites/default/files/imce/Universal%20Home%20Care%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf

"There’s an old political slogan: “As Maine goes, so goes the nation.” Well, if that’s true, and if Maine residents approve a long-term care ballot initiative on Election Day, families across America may get help paying for vital home care and home care workers may get higher wages and better benefits."

I hope the adage about "as goes Maine, so goes the nation" applies to Ranked Choice Voting. We will be using Ranked Choice in the Maine US house and Senate races. Should be interesting to see how that turns out.

10. Dems are finally catching on

Using ballot proposals to give your side a boost has been used in the past to perfection by the Repugs. Dems seem to be using it well this cycle.

This is a long game that starts with more control at the state level. Trump is a gift for the party long term because he's the party brand for the next 20 years. The Dems will run against Republican Corruption going forward. Branding the Reps as corrupt for a generation is Trump's gift.

1. Should a county city or town be authorized to provide a partial tax exemption for real property that is subject to recurrent flooding if flooding resiliency improvements have been made on the property?

2. Shall the real property tax exemption for a primary residence that is currently provided to the surviving spouses of veterans who had a one hundred percent service-connected permanent and total disability be amended to allow the surviving spouse to move to a different primary residence and still claim the exemption?
