This is just the beginning. If we really want to stuff the RW assholes back in their holes, it will take far more than a single mid-term election. The ground work has been laid. This should be a beginning like 1932/4, something that puts progressives in control for a generation or more. It'll take that long.

I think though if the Republicans manage to cheat their way to power yet again, it will be time to recognize that we've lost our democracy. At that point our strategy needs to shift towards a pro-democracy "color revolution", and (peacefully) compel a return to the democratic process.

I think all of us on DU understand it. I don’t want to think about it on the eve of the election and I am holding hope that we’ll win the house tomorrow and, hopefully, senate. I really believe Beto can win Texas tomorrow. Gains in NV and AZ also, maybe TN.

don't control its summit; heck, while there's the idea of a hill to be rebuilt.

By the way, unless you got a personality transplant and learned to love authoritarian nationalism, you'd still be in if we didn't prevail this time. You'd have about as much choice as the British during WW2.

Don't get the house it will be very hard but yes, I will keep fighting even if I’m forced to leave. I will do my best not to let these f*****s ruin the country and my life. Eventually they will get voted out one way or another.
