My precinct is a half-mile away from the nearest bus stop.

There are a few dedicated people who bike in.

About 10% are tagged as inactive/overseas/etc.

But in reality, those who moved but never notified the county boost the real total north of 20%.

The normal voting turnout around here as a percent of registered voters is about 60%.

EXCEPT for trying very hard to get rid of Jeff F'ing Denham. The rest of the vote is pretty well locked ( I should hope ). But, since I'm there... straight D... and a number of "props"

city councils, county supervisors, school boards, county epection office, etc. often come down to just a few votes. Those local results often have more impact on our daily lives and may impact how people in the district votethan national races.

they don't list party affiliation, especially for school board. I read the bio and try to guess Trumpublican or Democrat and vote accordingly. especially city council and school board.
