I woke up with Anxiety Attack! Join me and hold hands if you felt the same.

So, I started meditation with my App.
My app chooses an appropriate guided meditation depending on how I feel.

Yesterday, I chose 'OK'
Today, I chose 'Not good'

While mediating, I started crying and understand where my anxiety came from.

I am so afraid of repeating the nightmare two years ago.
I had a hard time coping with the reality for at least a few months.

Today here we are.
So this is our Judgment day.

I turned on MSNBC and I polling guy pointed out.
According to him, current polling assumption is set the certain demographic of Democrat supporter much lower than 2016. Because
the current polling people's conclusion is to be that they overestimated Democrat's turn out.

Well, we will know the whole truth very soon.

I cannot Vote. I am originally from Japan and I decided postponing 'naturalization' after holding Green card for 10 years.

It was right after Japan's earthquake in 2011. So, I will keep my status till 2021 again.

I have not decided what I would do since this country is very different from what I found when I came in 1984.

However, after living in U.S. for more than my life in Japan, this is also my country.

I became a member of DU when it was founded right after the Republican stole the election from Gore.

Interestingly, I never have seen DU so unified as it is today.

'May the force be with us'

but today the good feeling is back.

DU is not indicative of how the vote will go but as you pointed out DU is very united in this election more than I’ve ever seen it before a vote. In 2016 there was plenty of splits, this one that one, the conversations were heated...as it was with the rest of the populace in the country. Kind of a mirror.
If that same mirror holds true today, the blue wave will be awesome.

At the end of day you will have to take of yourself no matter who gets elected.
I have lived through democratic and republican majorities. Guess what, no one
ever sent me flowers when I was sick.

goes off the rails. If we don't get this right, America may never see anything remotely resembling a fair election again. As much as I loathed (and still loathe) Dubya, and feel like his election was totally rigged, I never before felt like it would get to the point of being unfixable.

I still believe it's fixable, but only just. Give the GOP any more time and unchecked power to stack courts, gerrymander, buy patents on voting machines (as Ivanka did yesterday, I believe), stoke their racist base, destroy our economy, gut our health care, cozy up to foreign dictators, and ignore the basic fundamentals of decency, and this could be all over.

And my conclusion is the pendulum always swings, never stay fixed. Seeds of destruction of Trumpism are already being sown by Trump himself. The only issue which really worries me is environment. Trump has obliterated Environmental Protection Agency. I am not all that worried about losing abortion rights for women. At best Row Vs Wade stays as is, at worst it will cease to be a federal law and states will take over. No way in hell the blue states will restrict Abortions.

The economy is doing OK, no worries there. N Korea is unlikely to start a nuclear war. But republicans will gut health benefits to lower middle class and below. That needs to be fought furiously by democrats in congress.

And the longer we give 45 free reign to making things exponentially worse, the closer we careen towards the point of no return.

I hope I am right. Because as you said, what is more important than clean air,
clean water and long term health of the only planet we will ever have.

when anxiety is beyond control, is to watch the psychics and tarot card readers on You Tube who say Trump and Co. is utterly, totally and completely screwed. It comforts and calms me better than Xanax. Don’t tell me it’s silly, blah blah I know all that.

I was a wake at least 1 x an hour (some times 2x) between 1 am and 6 am when I had to get up. I am tired.

Viewing folks "predicting" Trump co demise, might have provided enough distraction to then go back and sleep better.

Thank god for my prescription - I normally only take it when I get panic attacks, but I've been taking it every day this past week. Otherwise, I'd be nuts by now. I really, really need Trump and the GOP to get their comeuppance.

On the other hand, this is the first election since, like, I was a kid and Carter won that I've felt good. Even when Obama won, I wasn't sure until the results started coming in.

2016 was pretty bad, but I myself was psychologically prepared for it, since I campaigned heavily for Clinton and against Trump. The absolute worst for my nerves was 2000. But this time, I feel pretty good for some reason. Not that this means anything.
