Just did it to be able to say they did. The famous "Daisy" ad during the Johnson/Goldwater campaign only aired once, but with the uproar around it, most everybody saw it.

Now that they have made 'news' with it, all the tRumpettes will be searching for it and spreading around their usual 'hey, look what the liberals don't want you to see!' crap to fan the flames for further divisiveness and controversy.
