I CANNOT BELIEVE IT...I Had To Wait To Vote

I have never, ever had to wait on the UWS Manhattan. In and Out. Today it was so crowded there was scarcely room to breathe. Part of the problem was the scanners which kept failing because of the overload. The general consensus:

This was a very good sign, perhaps an omen because the people around here are voters, but I heard some saying they had to get Rid of him and this is the first step. Gobsmacked am I.

That's where I'm from. I am working out of state on a campaign so I voted absentee.

and did have to wait behind a couple of people ahead of me in line. I was voter #157 at around 6:20am this morning. The parking lot was almost full, so I think it was pretty good turnout in my precinct

Fierce, wind-driven rain. So the wait and crowds of voters (who seemed energized) are even more impressive.

It's looking good for Dems with these large crowds after a staggering turnout in Early Voting.

My optimism meter is ticking up

We had quite a wait at our voting place too... but nobody seemed to mind. There was much chatter and the overall atmosphere was a bit festive and excited.

Our line zig-zagged back and forth (like an amusement park or airport security) and people were engaging in across-the-line conversations... that were interrupted until we passed each other again after rounding the corner and going in the opposite direction.

She voted at 6:30 this morning and said it was packed to the gills. WE are all stunned.
