Voters waiting up to 2-hours to vote in Antioch (a diverse Nashville suburb)...
Voters waited in line as long as two hours Tuesday at a polling place in Antioch, a diverse community in southeast Davidson County. A lengthy queue snaked through the foyer of Antioch High School.
Toward the back of the line were Jessica and Noel Boyle, who saw the high voter turnout as a double-edged sword. The Boyles, both of whom planned to vote for Democrats, believed that liberals would benefit from increased voting, but also worried that long lines might deter some voters.
For as long as Ive lived here, Tennessee has been known for having the lowest voter turnout in the country, Jessica Boyle said. The way the last election cycle went, too many voices went unheard, so Im really excited to see people lining up.
