Arkansas votes to increase the minimum wage and to elect a Republican governor

Just in case anybody, anywhere, still was under the impression that voters vote for politicians based on policies. They don't.

1. Arkansas is a funny state.

Dirty poor people, who rely upon Medicare and Medicaid to live, will vote Republican because of abortion. The trick in Arkansas is we have to find a way to convince people to vote their personal best interests - like they did on the minimum wage vote.

If SCOTUS overturns Roe v. Wade, Arkansas will criminalize abortion immediately - a very bad thing - but the Republicans will lose this issue here. Maybe then, things will change.
