We (hubby and I) developed this idea in 2016, and it seems more likely now. I just heard a talking head suggest this. Have you heard this anywhere?

(4,607 posts)I know this from personal experience. Righties know they're being selfish and bigoted and it makes them self-conscious. They know others will look down on them for it. That's where the nasty resentment on the right comes from; it burns them that they have keep their feelings concealed and come up with elaborate rationalizations for fundamentally selfish positions.

(54,770 posts)I have also read studies where pollsters are less likely to approach mean, frowning, grouchy, slimy, creepy, menacing, frightening and sinister looking people. You know, like rethuglicans, so they get underreported that way too.
