Dems pick up 5 seats in PA

Thanks to our new map courtesy of the state supreme court, Dems picked up 5 seats tonight. Our House delegation now more closely reflects the state with 9D and 9R.

There were three close races in PA-1 which is Bucks County adjacent to Phila, PA-10 which is York and Dauphin and PA-16 which is Erie County and the 3 counties directly below it. The GOP incumbents managed to hang on, but I'm thinking this put a scare into them not to cuddle up too close to Trump.

was put in place, Dems were expected to pick up seats. 9-9 split was probably the best case scenario.

(including Conor's)

The new PA-4 was mostly the old PA-13 that was already (D).

So PA-5, PA-6, PA-7, PA-17.

Conor Lamb's main issue was health care, right? It was in that other district he won.

and the new district he is in is a slightly different area so his message definitely resonated on that side of that state.

Boy, we came close in PA-16, too. I'm in PA-14, and the Republican didn't win by as much as I thought he would.

It's very gratifying that we re-elected Gov. Wolf and Sen. Casey, and elected John Fetterman as Lt. Gov.

Yep. A good night here in PA.

Picked up Vulakovich's open seat, SD38 in western PA, gave McGarrigle and Rafferty the boot and took the open 12th from heir apparent Stewart Greenleaf, Jr.

It's possible Tomlinson's seat could also flip as he's ahead by 100 votes.

I counted 92 total Ds, but it's a long list of 203 seats.

All-in-all, a good night for PA Dems.

Republicans are becoming extinct in SE Pa, not just Philadelphia, but the ring counties and it's starting to extend out into Berks and Lancaster.
