I'm so proud of my state tonight. Michigan just kicked Republican ass. And all women, too.

Gretchen Whitmer, Governor, Debbie Stabenow, Senator, Dana Nessel, AG, Jocelyn Benson, Secretary of State. In my district, Elissa Slotkin beat Mike "Hair Gel" Bishop. And all three proposals passed--pot is now legal, no more gerrymandering, & voting rights are now enshrined in our State Constitution so republicans will have a very difficult time fucking with our rights.

I am mourning the losses in other states, but I gotta tell you, it feels pretty good to be a Michigander tonight after the horror show that was 2016.

I think that narrow "victory" by 45 woke a lot of voters up in the state-
It's sure as hell feels good to live in a midwestern state that's trending progressive on all fronts. And once we have fair districts once the gerrymandered maps are gone - we could truly become a blue mecca in the middle of the country.
