(40,152 posts)She is the loveliest person. We chatted for a couple of minutes and she took the time to tell me how nice my kids were. She is very genuine and sweet.

(267,823 posts)only a little since we've never met. The on chance that I had to meet her at a campaign rally, her handler was a former classmate in college who hated me so she made sure I had no chance of meeting her even after proving our surnames matched. My whole life has been like that, makes for accepting life as a recluse sort of "the way it is".
That sucks
but, like I said, makes accepting life as a recluse more palatable when many of my encounters with people end up with them proving what assholes they can be. It's been going on for well over a half century, I'm used to it. Mostly I have endured severe disappointment in the majority of my endeavors so I finally gave up and retired, the sooner I can get off the planet, the better but I have to wait until tbtp make that happen, and my 91+yo mom has to go first.
I'm sure I'll have a little more positive attitude in a day or so, I'm only moderately happy about winning the House. Still nail-biting about Tester, he's my Senator.

(86,057 posts)I'm actually a blood relative of her former husband. like a second cousin or something.
I agree, she's amazing. I'm a musician myself and would love to collaborate with her and talk politics since we have both been active in a particular state where she actually lives.
