That race still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth as a Connecticut resident.

Democratic Party, running as an I after losing the primary? I guess Lieberman won R votes by becoming RLight. Sure glad when he left!

no "sore loser" laws here, so he became an independent and got most of the Republican and Independent votes in the general and swamped Lamont in the general. (The Republican senate candidate ended up with like 10% of the vote, I think - most went Lieberman) - it was like 50% Lieberman 40% Lamont and 10% random Republican
