I've seen a number of articles on the risks versus rewards of impeaching a president. First, it's not going to happen with a Republican-led Senate. Second, we already know that Trump is planning to blame the House for everything in the next two years. We've spent two years with faithful lapdog Devin Nunes (and others) blocking every attempt to enforce checks and balances on Trump. For McConnell to suggest that we'll now just sit back and let Trump do his thing is ludicrous.

I don't have the answers. All I know is Trump is going to spend the next two years slamming the House, and whatever he can't find in reality, he will manufacture. He'll spend the next two years telling us about the things Nancy Pelosi "wants to do," and he'll only talk about the things...real and imagined...guaranteed to stoke the highest levels of fear and anger in his "base."
