Rudy Giuliani claims hes broke in divorce proceedings but made $9.5M last year
Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani is acting like hes too broke to pony up for various expenses his estranged wife is seeking despite making $9.5 million last year, her lawyer claimed Wednesday during the first hearing for the couples divorce battle.
Judith Nathans lawyer Bernard Clair claimed the pol-turned-presidential attorney is suffering from sudden income deficit syndrome.
The symptoms of the sudden income deficit syndrome program is front and center: First, Mr. Giuliani claims financial trouble, financial trouble that existed only post-commencement [of the divorce proceeding], according to his statements, Clair told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Katz. His actions and his finances and his expenses dont comport with the claim of his income diminishment.
Nathan wants her former hubby of 15 years to pay for expenses for several of their shared residences, including in Palm Beach and Southampton, as well as her personal assistant and the cost of housing her elderly mother in an assisted living facility. She is also seeking $63,000 a month in spousal support.
Nathan, 63, filed for divorce in April a few days after Giuliani stepped out publicly with his mistress, Maria Rosa Ryan, and the two were spotted canoodling in New Hampshire. Multiple sources told The Post at the time that the 74-year-old former US attorney cheated on Nathan with Ryan, a hospital administrator, prior to their separation.
