2. whitaker is "acting attorney general"

i believe he can serve for one year without confirmation

3. Will he have the authority to fire Mueller? I didn't think much of Sessions, but

I like this even less.

4. my understanding is that yes, he can fire him or otherwise direct him to halt the investigation

whether or not that constitutes an illegal act of obstruction of justice or abuse or power is another question....
