He was relieved of responsibility for overseeing the Mueller probe. He's still Deputy Attorney General.

The Acting AG MIGHT want a different Deputy AG, but hasn't announced any plans so far.

nb - Deputy AG is also a political appointee; the same appointment/approval rules apply.
