Who is Sam Clovis, you ask? - This acting AG Mark Whitaker....was Sam Clovis campaign chair in 2014 run for IOWA state treasurer....
Clovis unsuccessfully ran for Iowa state treasurer in the 2014 elections. He was national co-chair of Donald Trump's campaign in the 2016 presidential election. In January 2017, Trump appointed Clovis a senior White House adviser to the USDA.
- thank goodness, Clovis removed himself from this appointment...I think Clovis was ill-prepared..especially due to the fact - he had no knowledge of the USDA....(sarcasm thingy)
AND, Sam Clovis was a grand jury witness in the Mueller investigation.....I suspect everything will be done to require Whitaker to recuse....right??????
