Nevada elected a dead Republican pimp.

This is not a joke.

Dennis Hof was a pimp, died, stayed on the ballot, voters were notified of his death and 70% of them voted for him anyway.

Herzik said that probably helped solidify the seat for Republicans and gave comfort to those who may have felt uneasy about electing a brothel owner.

I don't think it's a great rule, but since it was too late to take off his name, people basically voted party. I likely would have done the same, to be truthful, preserved a seat for my party.
