(146,284 posts)By focusing on it again and again, Trump was exploiting the attentional bias, a cognitive bias that recognizes the importance of repetition in getting people to focus on a thing you want them to focus on.
Same thing as the "Lock Her Up!" chants in 2016. Repetition focuses the attention very well, especially if it has something to do with fear, as in the "Caravan" focus.
