Whether you voted or not is a public record. As a local pol I often checked to see how often people voted in our town. If someone voted every year we'd call them once. If they only voted in Pres years we would call them several times to urge them to get out to vote. While who you vote for cannot be revealed, the fact that you did or did not vote can be looked up by anyone.

I wish a reporter would ask him why he didn't (if he didn't) and as a follow up ask, don't tou believe in our representative democracy?

And your family? Why didn't they vote? (If applicable)
