Democrats are mobilizing today from all over FL to get all the mailed in ballots counted and provisional ballots cured so they count. I'm part of it here in Duval County and know that Broward and Hialeah are also very active today doing the same thing,

They've never done this kind of recount support before, at least definitely not in my county. It's a madhouse, took 2 hours to get the lists to start calling, but we are on it now and also sending people with notaries out to folks houses to get the affadavits signed, notarized & emailed to SOE before 5pm today. Well, break time is over, back to the phones....

Like, once they've suppressed all the people they don't like, it still shouldn't take more than a few hours to count all the votes of the people they do like.

Is there, like, one guy per county? Or what?

Lots of them. Those all need to be reviewed one by one and allow the voter to confirm it was indeed them signing their ballot (which it invariably was).

What does that mean, hitting a refresh button on a spreadsheet to see / certify the same batch of numbers? While elsewhere a box of suppressed or ignored ballots or discarded electronic touchscreen presses still aren't part of what is being looked at? Pardon my lack of faith in Florida.

Thu Nov 8, 2018, 04:44 PM
Nov 2018

Would there be a 2nd election if neither candidate gets to 50%? I know there will be a 2nd election in Mississippi but I thought I heard you would need 50% of the vote for governor to win on the 1st round in Florida.

You just need to get more votes than you're opponent in Florida. In Georgia Stacy Abrams is just hoping to get Kemp's votes below 50%, and then there will be a run-off election,.

I just received a text message and an email, stating that if I voted with a provisional ballot I need to contact the Supervisor of Elections before 5PM.

I didn't vote with a provisional ballot, but for the many that did, I hope they'll be able to respond in time.
