I realize conceding does not carry any legal weight, but still it sends the wrong message when in some instances thousands or even hundred of thousands of votes are still uncounted.

K&R, I wouldn't trust the KGOP as far as I can throw all of them with a broke arm !!!

as quickly as possible. Agree that D candidates should not play this game if they are within 2-3 points of their opponent.

Most do it to express to the world that our form of government works... that there is no animosity after a free and fair election. But yes, when thousands of votes are still outstanding, it behooves all to wait, for the sake of fairness to those voters.
That also goes for the early winner, who should think before strutting around and crowing like a rooster: humiliation may be just around the corner.
