Thousand Oaks Gunman's High School Coach Speaks About Sexual Assault

NEWBURY PARK (CBSLA) — The Thousand Oaks shooter’s high school track coach says that he assaulted her.
For the former Newbury Park High School track coach this day has been full of emotions — from sadness to guilt. Because she never filed charges against Long after she says he assaulted her his senior year.

Colell says it happened during practice when someone found a phone and she was trying to figure out who it belonged to.

And although she never would have predicted this, Colell says she doesn’t believe this is just a case of PTSD. She says Long had issues long before he was ever a Marine.

“There are hundreds of thousands of people with PTSD,” said Colell. “They don’t go around shooting people. This kid was mentally disturbed in high school. There were signs and the administration knew it.”

Dude had serious mental issues before going in the military and the military likely intensified it.

All the hallmarks of an incel/woman hating psychopath.

In retrospect this guy was well trained with his gun and was an effective killer.

its commonplace for officials to tell the victim to STFU and don't jeopardize the future of the perp.

They could've taken him to the side and said "look kid, you need to continue on to the marines, they'll get your act together."

Palin's kid (got in trouble for cutting brake lines on school buses). That's how he avoided prison. And now he's a domestic abuser.

Almost every mass shooter has a history of domestic violence. When will the FBI start profiling these guys like they do serial killers to keep a watch on those with tendencies towards violence?

at the time of his recruitment because the Marines weren't meeting their recruitment quota. Sending someone with a mental disorder off to war could possibly magnify their unstable mental state. Note: as you can tell I am not a mental health professional. So what I just stated is probably completely wrong.

He may have never seen combat himself but his unit would have.

If he was pushed in to the military by the coaches trying to "get him to grow up" or "have real life experience" or whatever, the head honchos would not have used him for combat related stuff. He would've been a liability.
