Last night I had a lucid dream.

That is a dream where you are dreaming and realize you are dreaming. Elijah Cummings had just been interviewed by Rachel Maddow and my blood sugar was running high. I had just taken some insulin so you you might say it was drug induced. Along the way I went to sleep and dreamed I was talking to Martin Luther King. I fully realized this was a weird dream and Dr. King was a figment of my imagination. Now that I am awake I clearly remember what was said. “John Lewis is a founding father he shed blood for the Republic”. “The trying times in which we live is creating hero’s” Now that I am awake and my blood sugar is acceptable I intend to send both a letter of gratitude.

He is part of the Greatest Generation, the civil rights movement. The best Americans ever (no disrespect to my dad’s WWII service or the soldiers in civil war and revolutionary war). What they accomplished non-violently while suffering violence against themselves, is one of the greatest human stories ever.
