...and the senate republicans yawn...
The comments come two days after the president suspended the press pass of CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta after a contentious exchange during a news conference.
"I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man," Trump said.
Asked how long Acosta's credentials will be suspended, the president replied: "As far as I'm concerned, I haven't made that decision. But it could be others also"
Trump also went after April Ryan of American Urban Radio Networks as a "loser" who "doesn't know what the hell she is doing."

(5,602 posts)I'm assuming Godwin's Law has been suspended until at least November 2020.
Another close parallel with the rise of the Third Reich in the 1930's:
"The Propaganda Ministry, through its Reich Press Chamber, assumed control over the Reich Association of the German Press, the guild which regulated entry into the profession. Under the new Editors Law of October 4, 1933, the association kept registries of racially pure editors and journalists, and excluded Jews and those married to Jews from the profession. Propaganda Ministry officials expected editors and journalists, who had to register with the Reich Press Chamber to work in the field, to follow the mandates and instructions handed down by the ministry. In paragraph 14 of the law, the regime required editors to omit anything calculated to weaken the strength of the Reich abroad or at home."

(3,131 posts)Press needs to hit him harder. Getting banned from trump's news conferences is a badge of honor. Keep showing up but keep hammering.

(53,410 posts)The same for April Ryan and anyone else he picks on. Theyre more appreciated than ever and more known and because of that they will land well. He hates the good ones which makes the rest of us love them.
The Trump effect is double edged. Those who love him will find their careers much diminished. The more loyal they are the bigger pariahs they will be and the more he hates them the more popular and respected they will be. His hate is a badge of honor.
