Cindy McCain rips Arizon GOP... "I am one of those ballots."

Cindy McCain rips Arizona GOP over mail-in ballots lawsuit: ‘I am one of those mail in ballots’

Cindy McCain, widow of the late Arizona Sen. John McCain (R), knocked her state's Republican Party on Thursday over GOP-led efforts to change the procedure by which the state counts mail-in ballots.

In a tweet, the senator's wife took aim at local GOP groups who this week filed a lawsuit to force the state to stop calling voters to verify that they had mailed in a ballot in the case of ballots where names provided by voters are not immediately clear.

"I am one of those mail in ballots. I was under the impression my vote was always counted," McCain wrote Thursday, tagging the state's local Republican Party account.

Always feign outrage at GOP antics, bad behavior, homophobia, and racism...

...before voting down the line for GOP candidates who are guilty of all of the above, because tax cuts and unearned inherited wealth Trump actual values and principles.

As hate radio and Faux Noise has made America more divided, repugnant goons have been less and less interested in playing fair.

They have used racist scare tactics for so long that they have painted themselves into a corner where they are the party of old, white people, mostly men.

That demographic is shrinking, so the only way to win elections is to cheat, mostly by suppressing votes.

So their lying hyperbole in Florida and Arizona, where counting all the votes may cause them to lose elections that they thought they had successfully stolen isn't the least bit surprising, much less stunning.

I figured the lawsuit was going to be more against provisional ballots, since those usually come from people of color who are less likely to vote the GOP's way.

Either way, the GOP is showing their slimy asses once again. We need serious voter protection reform in this country, but not the way the GOP thinks we do. We need protections to ensure that votes from people of color are always accurately accepted and counted.

You know that the practice of your beloved Republican party is to sacrifice a few "good" votes in hopes of eliminating enough "bad" votes to swing an election in the party's favor. They've been doing it for decades, and now that it's your turn to have your ballot shit-canned, you're upset?

News flash: No, your vote isn't always counted. Sometimes it gets caught up in the drift net of ballots your Republican party wants to spoil. Nothing personal, it's just the business of election rigging.

Boiled down to the essence, they were all: "But your honorrrrr. If you allow that I'm gonna lose!"

As I understand the Republican position in Arizona, the mail-in voting provisions passed by the Republican legislature, and signed by a Republican Governor, should be ignored because they are slow and complicated, thereby disenfranchising all Arizonans who followed their rules, and believed the procedure would be followed.

Stated differently: "But your honorrrrr. If you allow that I'm gonna lose!"

I was encouraged by the North Dakota Democratic-NPL to vote absentee. I did, my husband did, my parents did. All for Heidi Heitkamp. Now I keep hearing that other states are not counting absentee ballots?

Please, how do I know they were counted in ND?

I thought there was this push to vote early, by mail. And I think a lot of Democrats did just that, spurred on by the Trump effect. Most who mailed in I assume were Democrats, in a lot of precincts, not all obviously.

Not just this election, others in the past. I hear stories of how the election is called before those absentee ballots are counted. And that they won't count them. It implies that mail in votes are not as important as voting day votes. I don't know how they can get away with that, or justify it to the courts

As in "How dare someone insult me like that, steal from me? ....don't they know who I am?!!!"

She probably wrote it in a moment of passion. The only times when Republicans put anything over party, is when they feel they have been personally hurt. But like others have said, she'll calm down, and get back on board to vote for the orange asshole who denigrated her husband soon enough.

Cheat before the voters get to vote. Cheat when they are using electronic voting machine that flip votes. Cheat when counting post poll closings. Cheat by failing to count absentee and mail-in ballots. Cheat by suppressing voters between elections.... to name a few of the myriad ways they have found to "win" (LOL) elections.

Welcome to the disenfranchised American voters pool.

Now that YOUR vote might go uncounted, now you care.

Oh, and her late husband was hardly a champion of liberal and progressive causes. For a starter, the one and only time he voted to keep the ACA was so he could essentially say "Fuck You" to Trump, not because he actually cared about anyone else having health care.
