That said, she's apparently raised many very serious questions about her suitability long before this.
From WaPo:
Broward is 1,323 square miles of interlocking suburbs as well as the city of Fort Lauderdale. According to Snipess office, the county is home to approximately 593,000 registered Democrats and 252,000 registered Republicans.
A county Republicans can NEVER carry. Jeb Bush appointed her 15 years ago and neither he or Scott removed her. The Republicans benefited tremendously from a chronically very badly run elections office in this county, of course. With perhaps a little assistance here and there, there including the Supreme Court, they got a Republican president out of it. Have there been other times?

Fwiw, I am prepared to believe this is her in a bad mood and that she is likely in one about now.

She isn't cowed by Rick Scott's threats.

(1,737 posts)The Republicans have mastered showmanship. We have to live through this every close election. They accuse the Democrats of stealing the vote while they try to stop the counting of votes.
As much as I don't trust Brenda, that's a fight for tomorrow. Today we have to fight to get our votes counted. We cannot allow another 2000 to happen.

Basically she's a Jeb Bush appointee. Broward has been riddled with election improprieties since her selection. I feel it's best for Broward to election our own SOE and not re-elect a Bush appointee but as I've stated this is not our fight today. Today we need to have our votes counted.

I heard a weird call on a left leaning Tampa Station today that the Senate candidates were placed at the end of the ballot...true or false?
