Useless

Trump’s political power and influence has now had its first real test. He failed by every measure and standard to achieve anything of note.

Trump has now proven he has no political power with this midterm in which he was all but toxic and his endorsement had little perceived influence to exert on political races run by republicans.
There was 75 endorsements from trump, only 21 people he endorsed actually got elected. Winning in those districts was not premeditated on his endorsement though. It was already the likely and expected outcome in already republican and often very gerrymandered districts.

It was far more notable that so many lost in republican held and heavily republican favored gerrymandered districts.

Put simply, Republicans in Congress care more about getting re-elected than they do about trump. Since trump has proven useless, if not toxic, I see very few remaining overtly loyal to trump’s continuing nonsense. He is dead weight at this point.

He is a criminal and an idiot and to think that has not been obvious from the beginning to most in congress, regardless of Party, is to not understand how politics work. I was to caught up in the moment(s) to realize that this midterm would be trump’s Waterloo. He had all the support he wanted. At least until his hubris and narcissism and arrogance prove to be his undoing.
I believe that moment, his Waterloo, has now come to pass.
Just as had happened with nixon, once clear and concrete proof is put forth, trump, like nixon, will soon be faced with the choice to resign or be impeached.
Given the results of this midterm I now see this as the obvious and predetermined outcome.
