Who can help Dorsey get a service dog for the hearing impaired?
I met Dorsey last night at the airport in SF. I accidentally bumped him when I sat down and he smiled at me. I apologized and we started a conversation
Dorsey is a stocky, a little bit portly, older African American man with a great grizzled beard and a twinkle in his eye.
I realized he was deaf and we had trouble communicating. We solved our problem with text messaging. I realized that Dorsey writes at about a third grade level.
We had time to kill and he started showing me pictures of dogs. He would Pat his chest to show me how much he loved dogs. He had the video if Duncan the two legged dog saved on his phone.
I wrote "You like dogs a lot"
He wrote back "Me love dogs. Wish me had a hearing impaired dog to help me".
He then folded his hands under his head like he was sleeping and showed me how a dog could wake him up and let him know when someone was at the door.
Anyway, he was nervous about his flight so I made sure he got help boarding and that they had a representative there to help him at his connection.
So DUers, someone here knows how to help Dorsey. I have some of his personal information. Who want to help Dorsey get a service dog,?
