I don't understand why we should have to send money to get a fair election.

I am getting requests to donate to the Nelson recount because Scott will spend millions on lawyers. I understand that lawyers cost money, but I don’t understand why the person with the most expensive lawyers should win an election. They are not buying votes. So why should it cost the voters anything in order for their vote to count?

It shouldn't be legally fought as if it's a private interest of the candidate. Whatever it takes to ensure elections happen properly should be paid for by the government.

My vote is my right as an American. People died so that I can vote.

I have no qualms sending a few bucks to my favorite candidate when they are running in order to help fund their war chest, so to speak. But I resent being asked for money in order to allow my vote to count
