To all of our veterans on DU and everywhere:

Thank you, from my heart. When I was young, I was too immature and ignorant about the world to understand the sacrifices, not just of the dead, but of the living, who were in military service to our great country. But growing up, learning history, and meeting many people who have served and made untold sacrifices, has helped me appreciate your contribution to our nation and the world.

I hope this day is a good one for you.
