A new Sanders book is set to be released in two weeks.

You can pre-order it now on his personal page at Amazon.com

https://www.amazon.com/Bernie-Sanders/e/B01NAJEW2P/ref=sr_tc_2_0?qid=1542053037&sr=8-2-ent

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has a $158 billion question for the wealthiest person in the world.

“Jeff Bezos and his company, Amazon, make huge profits by paying their employees wages that are so inadequate that many of them need public assistance just to get by,” the senator says. “How absurd is that?”

But try to ask Sanders why he’s set to sell his upcoming book, “Where We Go from Here,” on Amazon and you won’t get an answer.

“This is a book question — you’re going to have to ask the publisher,” Sanders’ spokesman Joshua Miller-Lewis says. “I can’t handle any book-related stuff.”

That's the word this week.

What could possibly be in the 'book' that hasn't already been repeated whenever a mic is nearby.

Maybe there'll be a chapter on racial vs not racial.

Odd that he has now turned to one of those billionaire corporations to assist the mass sale of his book.

It's a pretty big glaring contradiction, considering that was the main theme of his 2016 campaign.

But I see its now 2018 so..never mind.

Trump's taxes will be a priority, she said.

Can't wait to watch her demolish Trump.

BS would certainly make less money, but he wouldn't be actively contributing to, profiting from, and perpetuating what he insists is an abusive system .

Maximizing personal wealth shouldn't be the primary concern, especially since the fiery senator is the beneficiary of what he himself characterizes as a component of a "rigged economy".

Companies like Amazon that escape paying taxes and that choose to offer low wages to their employees, despite the company’s soaring profits,” Mike DeSanto, co-owner of Phoenix Books stores in Burlington, Chester, Essex, Rutland and Woodstock, has written in a commentary.

“As a small retailer competing with Amazon,” DeSanto continues, “big box stores and the shift to online shopping in general, it can be difficult to bring in enough revenue to stay in business and to provide my employees with high wages and robust compensation packages.”

snip==========================================================

But DeSanto notes his stores, like most other local independents in the state, have their own websites — ones he suggests the senator could link to.

“If I was Bernie, I’d say, ‘I just want you to buy the book — and buy it at local bookstores.’”

A person of his stature has more negotiating power than an everyday Joe. He could tell a publisher what sales channel to take and he would make less money, while standing on principle. But looks like he chose the route of least resistance.

is not a nonsense issue when there are other options available and especially when one decries anyone else who does so. BS should at least be able to meet the standards he sets for everyone else.

Sanders’ staffers view any inquiry about the senator’s Amazon sales a “gotcha question,” although they won’t explain why on the record.

"Standards for thee, but not for me."
