Does anyone think we might be seeing a slow rolling "Saturday Night Massacre"?

Nixon's antics are legendary, so it reasons not to follow his play book. But instead, play things slow...

Such as install Whitaker, questionable, yes, however, although he does take control of supervising Mueller, doesn't actually supervise him. Just gathers information and report back to Dump's attorneys. Who then start crafting a defense. He is probably an unconstitutional acting Attorney General....but no suit has been filed, because he hasn't interfered or done anything yet. Politically, in this climate, you want more than "he doesn't belong there because the Senate never confirmed him"...because that's an easy and real fast fix.

And despite Dump's wish to fire Mueller, he doesn't, that way this doesn't look "Nixonian".

But lets say Rosenstien, is asked to "resign" in a few months....I think the way Sessions left "at your request" is very telling. It gets him out of the picture AND he won't know what's up with the investigation since he was removed in supervising it.

Whitaker may be the red herring. If he goes up for confirmation, lose or win...they get what they wanted, info on the prosecution's strategy. And if Christie gets on-boarded, if he co-operates with Dump or not on the investigation, doesn't matter, they got the intel they needed as Mueller is getting ready to finalize everything.

The strategy may very well be, act like your going "Nixon" on Mueller, but instead don't and subvert it via information gathering, then spin it to your advantage.

I say we're onto this administration and are fully aware of what is going on. Right now, there is nothing Dems can do about it except speak out ... January 3, 2019 it's a whole new ball game.

really, his recusal from the russian investigation has been the only thing donnie has ever really objected to about his performance. other than that, he's been a solidly bigoted right-wing *sshole just like the rest of donnie's crew.

well, slightly more competent. maybe that's what donnie didn't like about him....

Sessions recuse resulted in not knowing what was going on in detail, Rosenstien was probably providing "high-level" info and not much more.

the emperor with no clothes wants a loyalty pledge to himself by Whitaker to protect him from all his illegal crimes. All criminals do eventually pay for their crimes, tRump is no different. He will get his.
