Concern Trump would dispute the 2016 results if he lost was part of the reason why Obama didn’t more forcefully call out Russian meddling. These baseless charges of voter fraud demonstrate that fears Trump would undermine the democratic process for his own gain were well founded.

About as well as looking forward to the future and not backwards to the past.

This time around, Democrats MUST hold Republicans accountable. It's not criminalizing political differences. Democrats' consistent failure to address the crimes of Republicans have kept the likes of Roger Stone hanging around the corridors of power for decades when they should be long-time guests of the graybar hotel.

Yes, freshly-minted members of the new Congress are going to want to get started on their signature career issues, but this horrible job of cleaning out the Augean Stables has to be addressed. It's festered far too long, infecting practically every aspect of what government is supposed to do, which is to be of service to all citizens, not just the well-heeled and well-connected.

He is banking on stacking the SCOTUS 7-2 or even 8-1 with ultra RW sychophants, and then refusing to vacate office in January 2021 when he is voted out in 2020 (or in January 2025, if he somehow disastrously wins re-election and his approved Repuglican successor wins, and maybe not even then).

If the SCOTUS refuses to make him turn over info to Congress, and hands him win after win at their level, he will feel emboldened enough to try anything. We are headed into nightmarish waters.

fights against it). If something goes wrong with RBG or Sotomayor (she has really bad, advanced diabetes) plus Breyer retires, we are so fucked. Kagan will be alone as the only voice of reason. The odds of all 3 hanging on until 2025 are probably less than Trump's own odds. At least one, and probably 2 or all 3 will be gone by then. Hopefully all 3 hang on for the next 2 years. He simply MUST be defeated in 2020. The long term damage he has already done is insane. A re-election of the monster would plummet our nation into a course with the abyss.

Russian meddling out of fear that Trump would refuse to accept the results of the election? I certainly hope Obama didn’t make that decision on the basis of this. Makes it sound as if Trump was holding Obama hostage and that Obama accepted it.

This is the first thing I have ever heard Schiff say that sounds a bit overwrought.

that the louder you yell, the bigger asshole you are, the greater the lies, you win. He has lived his whole life this way. Of course, he would have disputed results, like he's doing now. Black is white, night is day, fiction is truth. He really thinks he can script this just the way he wants, just like TV. That is working so well any more
