Something strange goin on

Years ago I was a field investigator and operated off the William James model that we are creatures of habit and the Fritz Perls concept of the Gestalt, that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. These models worked for me because I had about a 90 percent or more success rate in my investigations that held up in the state circuit court. That is why I am becoming aware that something is seriously going on with Trump. His disastrous trip to Paris and his total lack of involvement in the Veterans' Day events tells me that he is becoming completely dysfunctional and that something major is going on or is imminent in happening. I can only speculate what that might be, but I do believe he knows something that has caused him to retreat as much as possible into his man-cave. And what will the Republicans do if he gets worse and has a total breakdown? The 25th Amendment is a gigantic hurdle to overcome so I don't believe that is an option. Any thoughts on this would appreciated. I do feel Trump's days are numbered. His behaviors appear to indicate that and he knows it.

4) McSally conceding;
5) Scott and Kemp backing down;

8) Rumor about Nielsen being fired, but Kelly balking; and
9) Trump and Pence hunkered down today, rather than in public at Arlington, Walter Reed, wherever (really, showing up somewhere on Veteran's Day is Politics 101, especially for Pubs who never served)...

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's s time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

After his last rally in the US before heading to France, he elected to stay in a local hotel rather than flying directly back to Washington as he normally does. Trump hates staying in strange beds.

Melania let him hold her hand as they descended the steps of AF1 upon arrival in France.

Skipped WW1 cemetery on Saturday.

Did not walk up the length of Champs Elysee with other world leaders. Instead he was driven to a spot closer to the dias and only walked (slowly) a short distance.

Skipped visiting Arlington cemetery on Veteran's Day.

Won't admit to being ill because of the many times he called Hillary "weak".

I don't think it is a stretch at this point to hazard the speculation that his ego is more powerful than his sense of self-preservation. If thee is a legitimate medical report on his condition, we can be quite confident that no part of it that reveals any weakness will ever reach the pubic's ears.

Trump would rather go out to the cheers of the MAGgots than to the silent scorn of a base betrayed.

If he is just pouting and angry about the election and the fact that he didn't get his military parade, and if he feels cornered by the fact he will now have oversight, he will do something horrible like start a war to distract us and get the country to like him again. Or he will rile up his base to get out there with their guns and punish us.

In the wider view, Trump's life of corruption is percolating upwards and into broader public view. He has tremendous pressure from many directions and all of the causes are dire. I love that he must hate his life!

ETA: I've made this point previously so pardon me for repeating it: The most stupid thing that Trump ever did was to run for president. He had no idea that his entire life would eventually be revealed. Had he simply continued his life as it was, he would have been able to continue all of his sleazy activities and "businesses." By the end of this saga, I believe he'll be ruined. He's an idiot.

Because he is so focused on himself, he doesn't see the broader picture that the lives of public figures are scrutinized. They are particularly scrutinized when the figure is a major d&*ck, so he has the double whammy going for himself here.

I agree that by the end of this saga, he will be ruined. I look forward to that day and will have a toast to honor his demise.

might be a true end game and that trump's panic and desolation are far more profound and extreme than anyone discerns right now.

trump may not be fully aware of his deepest feelings yet, but I think he is becoming fatalistic about how everything will end. He may now have the mindset of a vaguely self-aware animal who suspects he is completely cornered and will finally recognize irrevocably there is no way out.

He cannot resign, he cannot allow himself to be impeached or arrested, he cannot back down. He knows he is losing control and once it is gone he will never get it back. Perhaps he finally accepts that his base is useless because the mid-terms rubbed his face in it. He cannot continue to function if the unabridged truth of himself as the terrified, infantile "worst president ever" is allowed to corrode his manufactured and zealously guarded self-delusion.

He is beginning to comprehend the extent of his own personal deficiencies and is most likely extremely frightened that his innate weakness is certain to be revealed. He is a malignant narcissist who is cornered and desperate.

IMHO, the people near him need to be considerably more diligent and watch him very closely. He is not the kind of creature who will take himself out alone.
