Emmanuel Macron suggests building its own army to protect Europe against the U.S., China and Russia. But it was Germany in World Wars One & Two - How did that work out for France? They were starting to learn German in Paris before the U.S. came along. Pay for NATO or not!

emotionally incapable of giving up any of his favorite notions, even with the Joint Chiefs of Staff explaining something is 100% wrong. France is a LOSER! And no doubt Macron is also.

Donald Trump comes closer than anyone else to being the archetype of the species; crossing genres, he exemplifies all the ways an asshole can capture our attention. ~

6. "building its own army" is *exactly* what donnie is asking for when he says "pay for nato".

this has been explained over and over again. the obligations of nato members is to pay a percentage of their own gdp to fund *their own* armies.

yet donnie *still* thinks there's some central nato fund that france to which france owes money, and he thinks he's beating up on a deadbeat customer to get them to pay a bill.

wrong. if nato members pay their "fair share", it's to fund their own armies.

he's contradicting himself in the same tweet.

He couldn't care less about objective reality. It's all about spinning and image and propaganda to him.

One thing we must remember. Trump "won" on razor thin margins in three states that generally are not red strongholds, at least in the presidential. The primary reason he won those states is that too many Dems in those states stayed home. Lowest turnout in many cycles IIRC.

17. voter suppression, etc., has a bigger effect.

making voter registration hard, purging voter rolls, disenfranchisement, voter id crap, signature nonsense, flaky unverifiable voting machines, remote polling places, long lines, etc.

i think we routinely need 55% of the vote just to break even on their anti-democratic crap.
