@TopRopeTravis:
A source who works in the same office building as Special Counsel, provided an image of press set up outside of the main entrance. They also report, every entrance to the building has camera crews positioned. No sightings of Mueller or Cohen today.

Press still outside federal courthouse in DC. They have not seen Michael Cohen make an appearance and said they will most likely be posted up here all week.
Something is definitely up but it's not happening today. They must be getting ready for tomorrow

(1,474 posts)Something is up. That is about the limit of my knowledge, or anyone else's outside team Mueller. Mueller is crafty. What will happen and when it will happen is just speculation. Still, I am checking news sources almost hourly.

They appear to have gone to great lengths to obscure his activities.

(7,873 posts)Mike enthusiastically plays for the dark side according to his own remarks.
If Pence is under indictment then he would have to take the same path as Agnew before him and resign. That would seem to close some theoretical doors presently argued as open.
My point is that the Pence information is most likely in the hands of the Grand Jury and should be made widely public as soon as judicially possible in order to head off the expected "revolt". I think we must shut down any theoretical options the other side has plans to exploit, especially those based on the pretense of Pence's alleged ignorance of Russian ties.

catch a glimpse of a witness, Cohen, but the GJ isnt going to hear evidence, hand down indictment and then Muelller walks outside to announce. All this prognosticating that indictments are coming is exhausting. I want indictments as mush as the next guy but to much crying wolf on DU.

(18,117 posts)I mean physically. How is the room set up, how are the jurors seated, how do the prosecutors present their case, etc. I assume it does not look like a Perry Mason type courtroom.

(2,741 posts)It was set in a nondescript room several floors up in a federal building roughly 8-10 stories high in downtown Houston. I would guess the size to be maybe 15x20 feet. Three rows of jurors chairs similar to what you would find in a classroom, with a small table attached to give you something to write on. All 23 of us heard the prosecutors presentation - 11 were alternates. The chairs faced a table at the front at which one or two prosecutors and any witnesses sat. some jurors took notes, some did not, and some slept sometimes (maybe they were the alternates?). We were pretty isolated. We had our own bathrooms and a small sitting area outside the jury room
We were on call one week out of every month, but sometimes we were called and told that we didnt need to come that day. Some days we were only there a short time, other days it was a full day.
As you probably have heard, it is a rather one sided affair. We were admonished by the judge, at the beginning of our term, to not just be a rubber stamp for the prosecutors, but when you only hear from one side, usually an indictment is returned. I remember one case where the facts didnt seem that convincing. I think the prosecutors could tell from the questions we were asking that there was a lot of skepticism. So they discontinued their presentation and took the case to another grand jury, rather than take the chance of our jury returning a No Bill.
Juries usually seve for a 12 month period, but can be extended, and our term lasted 15 months.

(18,117 posts)Those are so secretive, it's nice to hear a firsthand account. Now I have a mental picture.
BTW, you would have thought they would have gotten more comfortable chairs for you!
