White House: CNN Lawsuit 'More Grandstanding,' Promises 'Vigorous Defense'

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders forcefully dismissed CNN’s lawsuit to restore White House reporter Jim Acosta’s press credentials, in a Tuesday morning statement.

“We have been advised that CNN has filed a complaint challenging the suspension of Jim Acosta’s hard pass. This is just more grandstanding from CNN, and we will vigorously defend against this lawsuit,” Sanders declared in her statement.

CNN filed suit against the White House Tuesday morning saying “CNN filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration this morning in DC District Court. It demands the return of the White House credentials of CNN’s Chief White House correspondent, Jim Acosta. The wrongful revocation of these credentials violates CNN and Acosta’s First Amendment rights of freedom of the press, and their Fifth Amendment rights to due process.”

Sanders continued in her statement, “The White House cannot run an orderly and fair press conference when a reporter acts this way, which is neither appropriate nor professional. The First Amendment is not served when a single reporter, of more than 150 present, attempts to monopolize the floor. If there is no check on this type of behavior it impedes the ability of the President, the White House staff, and members of the media to conduct business.”

If there's anyone who knows grand standing it's the Trump Whitehouse.

Anyone with access to the Intertubes can see what happened.

Acosta didn't get a question out before President Asshole started running his pre-planned set piece/hit job with the 130k/year "intern" and yelling and stomping.

This is a dangerous precedent in a series of dangerous precedents, like when Gateway Pundit was granted a Press Pass.

The WH has deliberately forced CNN into an adversarial position because it benefits them to have a Media enemy. Us and then, divide and conquer.

Why they don't lump MSNBC in there with the other Enemies of the People? I'd guess it's because The Apprentice was on NBC.
