Trump hates the military because every vet and serving member reminds him of his own cowardice

No matter how rich or poor, their ethnicity, their sexual orientation, or gender. He knows that they have done something of which he is absolutely incapable. And he hates each and every one for that simple fact - he loathes them, and his treatment of John McCain was the tip of that iceberg.

Why does he want LGBTQ individuals out of the forces? Because he’ll be goddamned if some “queer” demonstrates that they are braver, more honourable, and more patriotic than he could ever be.

Being aware of cowardice would require first of all a sense of shame, which he lacks entirely. He just does whatever he thinks will get him through the moment -- and as he said about false claims he made recently: "So what? I won, didn't I?"

At this point I think he lacks all human emotions except the ones listed in the Seven Deadly Sins.

This is a reality show he is playing and the military are merely props and set dressing to be moved forward when needed and whisked away when not.

He is playing a part in which he is the star and the director. It seems to infuriate him that there are elements of this reality show he can’t control, but he can control the military

You are correct he subconsciously knows this, but it can’t rise to look him i the eye. Creating chaos and uproar are his modus operandi to allow him to see himself as powerful and better than others. He is a very sick man filled with hatred for himself and just about all others.
