Professor removed from classes after calling campus police on black female student

A college professor in Texas has been barred from teaching classes for the rest of the semester after a video showed her asking campus police to escort a black female student out of her biology classroom.

Footage of the incident, which was posted on Monday, shows a University of Texas at San Antonio professor talking with multiple police officers before pointing out a student who allegedly had placed her feet on a chair.

Officers can then be seen escorting a woman out of a lecture hall. The video had been viewed almost 4 million times as of Wednesday afternoon.

The student's name has not been made public, but a Twitter user identified as @FavoritePaigeee says she was the student in question, naming the biology professor as Anita Moss.

Adjuncts, which are increasingly common work semester to semester. Thus she was suspended for the rest of her employment and won't be renewed. If she is a full professor or tenured, then she has due process rights.

she’d probably make more money working at Amazon. Adjunct professorship is a nightmare.
