I just had a chilling thought (wrt Paris)

What if:

When Trump briefly met with Putin in Paris, T said to P something like, "That Macron sure is breaking my balls." And what if, P winked and said something like: "Don't worry about him" or "I'll take care of it."

I can imagine being in those T shoes and suddenly realizing what it all meant, and playing with feeling badly about it. That would produce a pissy mood, AND give good reason to avoid some of those events, if you catch my drift.

Am I being too oblique here?

1. I don't think Trump feels guilt-

But I can imagine him getting a glimmer of an idea that maybe things are getting out of hand with Putin. He isn't really smart, but this is really a "tiger by the tail" situation.
