I started losing my hair when I was 17. For years I had an increasingly desperate comb over; not to the extent of Trumps, of course. Nobody is that bad. Finally, 4-5 years ago, I realized that I wasn't fooling anybody, and it looked silly. I now keep it cut short. My wife uses the clippers every three weeks and trims my hair and beard. It looks much better, and is far easier to care for.
