is the "greatest" only because they can beat militarily most of the world. Pointing out the problems that that attitude hides and fails to address is really good--coming from a 10 year military vet.

He came off pretty good, which somewhat surprised me, given a lot of what I've read about him. I'll enjoy him taking on Trump, at least, even if I have qualms about him becoming the nominee.

And yes, foremost among those concerns is the fact he admits voting for Trump in 2016... Heavens

The Democratic Base Philosophy: Someone who voted for Trump is forever tainted and should be shunned.

The General Election Voter Philosophy: Someone who voted for Trump and recognizes their mistake can be won back as a Democratic voter.

Which approach helps win elections?

If you looked at 2016 and decided Trump was the best choice then you are either a racist or an idiot... especially if you claim to be a democrat. If people that made that terrible decision have thought better of it or awoken to reality then we welcome them back with open arms to the party, but not as candidates for president.

They shit all over Max and the same party loves Trump.

To be charitable, he could have lost by a lot more.

Now Michael Moore wants to tell me that this guy is the voice of the progressive working class when he wishes to limit abortion to rape and incest only, and is pro-gun-rights

This bothers me because it reveals the dishonesty behind a lot of the hype - no moderate dem would get away with those positions but because Ojeda is a vet, has some tattoos, is "anti-establishment", it's all good. It's obviously bullshit because I guess 3rd way, compromise politics is fine for some people, so much so they get called a voice of the progressive working class, but not for others who get dragged.

Still, I don't have a problem with him throwing his hat in, but uhm,.. he's gonna have a tough time.

Now I didn't see the interview. Only read a profile and a quick blurb about his run.

Most Trump voter are cultist and would see him as a traitor. The people that may vote for him as a remorseful trump supporter are maybe 5-10% Max.

His anti-choice and pro-gun stance will alienate him with at least 50% of the most loyal Democratic voters.
