why are a small minority focusing only on Nancy Pelosi?
Pelosi is 78 years old. The number 2 person behind her is Steny Hoyer, who is 79 years old. Since women tend to live several years longer than men, Pelosi is a spring chicken next to Hoyer.
Hoyer seems like a good guy and has been in the House for nearly 40 years now so knows the ups and downs and ins and outs and where the bodies are buried, but if anybody should be replaced, it is Hoyer I believe.
Have somebody younger move up to the #2 slot and learn from Pelosi for the next 2-4-6 years.
No idea who to bring aboard, however. I'd prefer somebody that's been in the House for several terms, however.

(31,979 posts)I am all for letting Nancy stay, work her magic, and tutor someone up-and-coming.
We can't be fooling around now with this golden opportunity. Let the Wise One with the experience remain!

PS. I blame my juvenile sense of humor on my teenage son

(6,496 posts)would be ideal. Pelosi could mentor. That would be a great idea.

(31,261 posts)Young, smart, a dogged adversary to have, I heard that he is also a US military vet. He would a nightmare for anyone on the right, and certainly for the orange blob.
