The GOP will demonize any effective Speaker, and encourage a weak one, so why not just

go with the best one we’ve had in a generation? Yes, we need to think of the future, but what better way to do that than to give a good example of leadership to the upcoming Congress people? The Dems have not been in control of Congress for 8 years, so all the young members have no firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be a successful Speaker of the House.

It should be obvious by now that the positive accomplishments of any Democratic law maker are directly correlated to the amount of vitriol from the right. The GOP hatred of Pelosi is a sure way to know that she is effective.

3. I think the GOP really doesn't want Pelosi & that's a good reason to keep her.

Not to mention her years of experience & proven ability.

We need to be a huge, prickly thorn in the paw of the GOP. Every step they take they need to say, "Ouch."

5. Yes, if the Repubs don't want her, it's a clear sign she's effective and should stay on.

She’s politically astute and a strong leader. Keep her on! She was instrumental in turning our blue wave into a tsunami.

If anyone should be replaced, how about a vote on Chuck Schumer?

I wish we'd put a real fighter in there, & one of our younger people who might run in 2020. Harris? Booker? It would be great exposure. Also, a POC would irk the Con.

Republicans are poised to demonize any democratic speaker with the same brush they use on Pelosi. No matter the name, they'll say it with an expression used when someone accidentally eats dog shit.
