Think about it : how many times have we found ourselves sputtering in outrage at some unprecedented and despicable action or speech by this maniac? And, before we could even begin to fully comprehend and deal with that obscenity, another is spewed from the. white House; and another---and another---and------------
We are still trying to deal with Trump AS THOUGH he is a normally human being who has a sense of shame, a moral core and some degree of concern for the welfare of others. In fact, he is a mentally ill abberation who possesses none of these "normal" attributes.
We play his game when we waste time discussing whether or not he is a criminally incompetent traitor. We know what needs to happen. We need to rid ourselves of Trump and all he represents---by whatever (legal) means necessary.
Do I have an easy-to-follow list of instructions as to exactly how to proceed? No, and I I know that will automatically draw critics but, if we stop wasting our energy being constantly---and ineffectually---pissed off, maybe we can bring ourselves to ACT.

(10,252 posts)I learned long ago, that weekly outrages from Trump is his modus operandi. I do my best to keep myself emotionally stable and centered. I suggest that everyone else do the same. We are much more able to deal with the stupidity and venality of the Trump administration and his criminal cohorts, when we are calm and clear-eyed, than when we indulge in freaked out negative emotions.

(9,696 posts)so I learned as a child to not let someone like this get under my skin or into my brain.
I'm surprised at how many people get infected with the virus that is trumpft. Barbra Streisand on Maher a couple weeks ago was talking about how trumpft keeps her awake at night. Barbra, you've got power that few people have, and you're falling victim to this dreck?

(93,847 posts)A "tactic" implies an overt effort. Donald Trump's rants are just his impulsive Id; there's no strategy behind them.
