I wonder who did the research for trump*'s speech on Babe Ruth. It's pretty, umm, inacurate.

You know it's bad when 'The Daily Mail' prints a lengthy article on how bad it was. These are just the high points (or low, depending). The article has the details. I wonder if he messed up Elvis as badly as he did The Babe.

President Trump bizarrely claims people 'don't know Babe Ruth was a pitcher' during Presidential Medal of Freedom tribute, then incorrectly states he played on four MLB teams

The tribute kicked off on a bizarre note when President Trump stated that 'most people don't know that [Ruth] was a pitcher'

The White House incorrectly stated that he played for four major league teams during his career as well during the ceremony

Trump also wondered aloud what Ruth's father was like at one point in his remarks just before stating that he spent his formative years in an orphanage

It was claimed that Ruth hit more home runs than the entire American League one season and has pitching records that stands to this day, which is not true

Trump did accurately state facts about Ruth's home run record and all-time slugging percentage

empty box.

No clue about anything at all, not one issue of history or life does he know about other than a few paragraphs he struggles to read and reread from Mein Kampf.

PS

He doesnt know a little about business, he knows NOTHING about business and that is why he has failed more miserably than any human being in history and why he has NOTHING and still owes putin 4 billion.

6. In 1927, he did hit more home runs than every other *team* in the American League

except his own - the Yankees had close to 100 home runs without Ruth's 60. No other team had more than 58.

He did the same in 1920 as well, when he hit 54 home runs and no other team had over 50.

That said, Ruth played for 3 teams - The Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees and one bad year with the Boston Braves, who had one of the all-time worst seasons ever - only 38 wins and 111 losses.

" (A lot of) people don't know..." = "I did not know"

He does this all the time, and the "unknown" things are always things anyone with a marginal familiarity with the topic does in fact know.

First, anytime that orange shithead says "Most people don't know" X, Y, or Z....what he really means is he didn't know. Anyone who is a serious fan of baseball knows Ruth was a pitcher for the Red Sox when he was traded.

Second, does no one proofread this shit for him?? I mean this shit wouldn't pass a middle school history presentation!

And maybe the writing was accurate when given to him, but then he had to put his own special "touch" on the facts.
